Fantasy Signs & Siesmographs

The "Politics-of-Fantasy" signs are a series of collaborations with video artist Jennifer Reeder. What if porn was high and opera was low? What if male desire was swapped for female desire? What if it's the gutter, as opposed to the ladder of success, that entices us into a vertiginous plunge?

The Illumination Flowers are a series of interactive sculptures based on a round fiberglass form with electronic devices and bulbs mounted around the outside. The flowers bloom when their buttons are pressed, revealing a chase-bulb pattern, or a soundtrack, or a string of L.E.D. lights that grow radially in the pattern of a VU-meter.
