Jason Ditmars has installed four sculptures and some propaganda in the HERE Gallery bathrooms. 2-way Teledildonic Pairs I and II share the walls with toilet paper dispensers, mirrors, and assisted access safety bars. Each sculpture requires human input to activate, wholly unlike a toilet, urinal, or mirror. In fashion with contemporary fetish, the Teledildonic pair (commissioned specifically for the HERE show) utilizes the Internet and Virtual Reality to penetrate the limits of physical space and personal presence. Better than a dispensing machine, this must be seen to be believed!
